ABC Classic FM Australian Music Highlights – November 2007
November on ABC Classic FM sees a big focus on the music of Ross Edwards across a wide range of program areas. Through the month there are also a number of premieres of new Australian works by other composers, including a special 50th birthday celebration concert for composer Elena Kats-Chernin.
The month also sees the continuation of the ABC Classic FM Australian Music Unit podcast, launched last month. The podcasts feature a variety of ABC-exclusive music recordings, beginning with David Young’s Val Camonica pieces, with music downloads periodically interspersed with interviews with Australian artists selected from the New Music Up Late program. You can subscribe to the podcast at www.abc.net.au/classic/australianmusic
