ISCM 2018 in China: Australian works submitted

The Australian ISCM section's official submission for the 2018 ISCM World Music Days in Beijing, China (19-26 May 2018) has been lodged, and includes the following works:

Lisa Cheney: When we speak for cello and pre-recorded sound
Bruce Crossman: Garden of fire for mezzo-soprano, percussion, and piano
Andrew Ford: Raga for electric guitar and orchestra
Gordon Kerry: Making signs for flute, clarinet, piano, violin, and cello
Nicole Murphy: Spinning top for piano trio
Margery Smith: Humanity washed ashore version for bass clarinet and video

Congratulations to these composers on their selection. The festival will now consider which works it will select for inclusion in the festival program - at least one work from each official submission will be performed during the festival. AMC will relay the announcement of the program as soon as it has been made.
