Opportunity: New Music Network Mini Series

The New Music Network is calling for proposals for the 2013 New Music Mini Series - deadline for submissions is 30 November 2012. This series, held alongside the annual New Music Network Concert Series, comprises artists and ensembles of 'the next generation' within the contemporary art music scene. Genres considered for the New Music Network Mini Series include electronic, improvisatory or composed music. Proposals will only be accepted for events held in Australia.

In addition to a performance fee of $800, the artists and ensembles have access to marketing and PR support, a contribution towards the venue hire and a small advertising budget. More information about the proposals, as well as contact details are available on the NMN website.

In 2013, the New Music Network is also collaborating with Campbelltown Arts Centre on a special project with an Australian bird theme. Interested artists and ensembles can include in their submission an additional proposal (new or existing composition) relating to this theme. The selected proposal will be presented as a concert event at Campbelltown Arts Centre.
