Dr Josephine Jin is a Brisbane-based composer, conductor and educator. She has collaborated with many local and international ensembles and performers, including Queensland Philharmonia Orchestra, B&B Brass, Australian Piano Duo, Australian pianists Stephen Emmerson, Belle Chen, violinist Graeme Jennings, Luodong Junior High School Choir (Taiwan), ChungShan Elementary School Choir (Taiwan), Taichung Muncipal Cingshuei Senior High School Choir (Taiwan), and St. Mary's Catholic Church Choir (Australia).
Recent premieres include chamber work Night Light (2019) by Melbourne-based Barker-Ong Cello Duo; choral work Tsò-hué-tsit-tang (2017) in Taiwan National Choral Competition; piano duo Alubaling (2016) and piano trio Encounter (2016) by Australian Piano Duo; The Morning Breeze through Sarawak as part of Griffith University's Artistic Practice as Research project (2015); orchestral work The Nine Songs by Queensland Philharmonia Orchestra (2014); Brass Quintet Suite with Best of Brass (BoB) ensemble (2012-2013).
Other works include duo for piano/guitar and high voice Eulogy, solo piano suite Horea, piano and violin duo 蜀道難 (Hard is the Road to Shu), trio for of piano, viola and flute The lingering Scent of Celestial Tear, choral work Ortus (Honourable Mention for International Composition - I Concurs Internacional de Composició Ireneu Segarra 2008-2009), cello duo piece 幽咽 (Yu-Yet).
