Demetrio Trombi (b. Melbourne, 1972) studied composition at La Trobe University, graduating with an honours degree in 1998. He subsequently undertook a Master's degree at Melbourne University which he completed in 2001.

Demetrio's works have been performed by the Perihelion quartet, members of the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, the Southbank Contemporary Ensemble and Astra. His music has been broadcast on RRR-FM and published by the Keys Press Australia.

Demetrio currently resides in Sydney
