It's a frosty night in Winnipeg, Canada, and the clock has just gone half past 12 when Brett Dean picks up the phone with a fire in his belly. He is there as a special guest of the Winnipeg New Music Festival and has just heard the best performance ever of his piece Game Over. But it's a work for two Inuit throat singers and orchestra that blew his mind.
