Biography of Philip Czaplowski

Philip Czaplowski is currcntly completing a PhD in music composition at Monash University under the
supervision of Thomas Reiner. During 2005 he also attended the Acadcmy of Music in Krakow, Poland, where he worked with Zbigniew Bujarski, Krystyna Moszumanska-Nazar, Wojcicch Widak, and Anna Zawadska-Goosz. Concurrently, Philip is complcting a Master of Accounting degree at Swinburne University.


Philip's music has been perforormed many of the leading groups in Australia and overseas, including the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, Christchurch Symphony Orchestra, the New York Miniuturist Ensemble, Orquestra Antunes Camara, Australia Pro Arts, Kazimierz Dawidek. Harry Sparnaay, Lisa Cella and Jeffrey
Crellin.


Philip Czaplowski's music has featured in a number of festivals, most recently at the Szymanowski Festival 2003 (XXVI Dni Muzyki Karola Szymanowskiego , Poland), International Double-Reed Society Conference (Melbourne 2004), the Melbourne International Festival of Single Reeds (2005), and the Cortona Contemporary Music Festival (Tuscany, Italy 2006).

 


Philip's music been broadcast by ABC Classic FM, ADC Radio National, 3MBS FM. and Radio Adelaide.
