BRISBANE organist Robert Boughen and Toowoomba-born composer Richard Mills together have notched up almost 80 years as professional musicians.

Boughen was 70 on October 13 and Mills soon will celebrate his 50th birthday. A cause for celebration, which is just what will happen when the Queensland Symphony Orchestra, conducted by John Curro, gives them a "Birthday Bash" tomorrow.
