CONCERTGOERS will have the opportunity to experience Tasmanian composer Don Kay's There is an Island at the Choralfest's Welcome to Tasmania opening concert next month.


The work, in 10 movements, looks at the impact of European settlement in Tasmania and was written by Kay, with words by poet Clive Sansom, for the Rosny Children's Choir in l977.


Its performance at the City Hall on July 10 will be conducted by Jean-Louis Forestier and feature the Ogilvie High School Concert Choir ...
