About Music (lecture)
In July 2014 my third opera, entitled Mayakovsky, was premiered at the Carriageworks Theatre complex by the Sydney Chamber Opera company. The road to completing and staging an opera is often difficult, and in fact quite possibly the most complex of all musical projects to complete. I track through the logistics, development and composition processes and explain how they are all fitted together to realise a work such as this.
