Event Details
The Amateur Chamber Music Society presents a concert showcasing some of Sydney’s best non-professional chamber music ensembles. This concert features music for strings, wind and piano dating from the mid-18th century to the present day, including Mozart’s fiery G minor piano quartet, Haydn’s elegant C major piano trio, and contemporary Australian composer, Kris Spike playing his own Papillons. A taste of Bohemia with Dvorak’s folksy ‘Dumky’ trio and a rarely-heard wind trio by Koechlin complete this smorgasbord of chamber music.
Featured non-Australian music: Haydn, Mozart, Dvorak, Koechlin
