Event Details
Imaginary Numbers featuring Greg Coffin on piano & keyboard, Alex Boneham on acoustic bass and Dan Waples on alto saxophone, is a group that works in odd meter grooves based in jazz, afro-cuban and funk idioms, combining them with polymetric improvisational interplay and free-form improvisation as well as established traditional approaches to the music. The tunes are Andy Gander originals as well as his original arrangements of standard repertoire tunes. The selections are designed as vehicles for exploration of the group's rhythmic interactive processes and to feature all four members as strong soloists and ensemble players.
