Event Details

The heart of the Australian Youth Orchestra's annual National Music Camp is the orchestral program. Over two weeks, some of Australia's brightest young musicians are engaged in thrilling musical pursuits creating memorable performances of superb orchestral music, as well as honing their skills and knowledge of orchestral music-making with other exceptional musicians.

The program of National Music Camp's orchestral concert on 11 January features music by Mozart (played by the Hopkins Chamber Orchestra, conducted by Geoffrey Lancaster) and Brahms (Bishop Orchestra, conducted by Alexandre Bloch) as well as a new, commissioned work by the young Australian composer Andrew Howes (Alexander Orchestra, conducted by Richard Gill).
