Grammy nominated pianist, keyboardist, composer and arranger, Barney McAll grew up in Melbourne and moved to New York City in 1997 after being invited to join the Gary Bartz Quartet. Today he continues to tour internationally with Bartz, in addition to Fred Wesley and the JB’s, and Josh Roseman.
Barney has also performed/toured with major U.S. artists Kurt Rosenwinkel, Maceo Parker, Jimmy Cobb, Eddie Henderson and Dewey Redman, as well as leading his own ensembles. For this solo concert he draws on spiritual harmonies he learned playing in the African–American church for a decade, blended with slow meditative ambiences, in a unique and uplifting experience.
