BE BOLD SPEAK OUT, IWD 2017
Ceridwen Suiter's audio work accompanies an International Women's Day Exhibition that takes place in the Project Contemporary Artspace in Wollongong from 22 February to 12 March. It is a document of visual artistic contributions on the theme for IWD 2017. The composer writes:
'My piece is based on the concept of women using art as a way of speaking out about our gendered life experiences, and being bold enough to exhibit their visual voices here. The artwork is created from recordings made on site in the gallery during the first week of the exhibition. As this audio work is taking the conceptual to virtual reality, the audio art will be available for listening online only via my website: ceridwensuiter.net.au from opening night, Friday March 3rd, 2017.
