Melbourne-based harpist Marshall McGuire is one of Australia’s most versatile, busiest and most charming musicians, appearing regularly around the country in contexts as diverse as early music bands, contemporary classical ensembles and in the soloist’s seat with orchestras. His infectious bonhomie and spectacular technique have endeared him to music lovers everywhere. Marshall recently celebrated his 50th birthday, and what better way to celebrate than with a musical soiree. Marshall and his guests share a few of his favourite pieces old and new, some composed especially for him by luminary Australian composers.
