The Sydney Conservatorium of Music is celebrating its 100th birthday in 2015! As part of a week-long celebration of the very best music from the Conservatorium, Sunday night will see an all-star event showcasing the very best jazz musicians from around the country in the specially-formed Alumni Jazz Orchestra.
The alumni of the Sydney Conservatorium jazz Course reads like a Who’s who of Australian jazz. This special gala event brings together a sensational band drawn from some of our leading ex-students over the last 4 decades. Each section of the jazz orchestra includes one graduate from each decade since the courses inception, bringing together seasoned veterans of the Australian jazz scene alongside the names of tomorrow.
