Event Details
Four of the younger generation of leading Australian composers will take the next step in their artistic careers by presenting substantial new works within the cavernous Bay 17 of CarriageWorks, a converted train warehouse now renovated to become a performance-art space. The composers have previously connected through the Song Company’s Modart series and come from diverse backgrounds of both cultural heritage and achievements. Andrew Batt-Rawden, Melody Eötvös, Nicholas Ng and Alex Pozniak will all re-connect in Gradations of Light by drawing inspiration from the fundamental source of life - light - in a program that emerges from darkness into vivid displays of lighting and video projection.
