Event Details
Ton Banks 90th anniversary tribute concert, with David Miller (piano), and Ros Dunlop (clarinets).
The program includes two two rarely performed substantial electro-accoustic works that take the listener on a journey to the world of moog synthesisers and reel-to-reel tape machine. The tape parts were conceived on the now-extinct Tony Furse QASARMMB Computer and QASAR Mk. II Synthesiser and there is even Don's vocal presence adding personal humour with a commentary on Commentary.
Phil Treloar's eloquent and monumental composition Womb of Paradigm is receiving its first live performance in this concert. Ros Dunlop and David Miller recorded this work for the ABC in 1994, it is now available on CD.
