With Sweetest Nightingale the renowned Estivo Trio explores one of the infamous love stories of classical music history: that between Brahms and Clara Schumann.
Brahms’ exquisite Piano Trio No.2 in C mingles in the night air with Clara Schumann’s Piano Trio in G minor. Paul Stanhope’s Dolcissimo Uscignolo sets a beautiful scene for the two lovers, its title translating to ‘Sweetest Nightingale’.
