Richard Strauss's bold and engaging First Horn Concerto is the perfect vehicle for outstanding young soloist Alice Yang. With Colin Piper at the podium, the concert opens with a colourful brass fanfare by Paul Dukas and includes a lively, circus-inspired work, Roar!, by Tasmanian-based composer Maria Grenfell.
