Golden Fur continues to forge an intrepid path through fluid contemporary languages, in their debut concert for Melbourne Recital Centre. Built around Liza Lim's septet Veil, the program explores complex textures woven with multiple threads from the minimal, microtonal, to the theatrical and electro-acoustic. Golden Fur is also delighted to be premiering two diverse commissions from Australian composers Cat Hope and Robert Dahm.
Golden Fur: Sam Dunscombe, clarinet and electronics, Judith Hamann, cello, James Rushford, piano and viola - with special guests:
Matthias Schack-Arnott, percussion
Nat Grant, percussion
Kim Tan, flute
Lizzy Welsh, violin
Rob Mattessi, trumpet
Timothy Phillips, conductor
Featured non-Australian music: Ashley, Feldman
