Indulge yourself in Firebird Trio's musical Wanderlust with exquisitely performed gems from the piano trio repertoire. The journey continues as Firebird Trio celebrates the music of passionate wanderers. Composed following his daughter's death, Bohemian composer Smetana's only piano trio reflects the elegiac nature or this emotional period. Haydn's effervescent Piano Trio, nicknamed the 'Gypsy Rondo' is wicked fun and will have listeners bouncing in their seats. Englishman Henry Purcell's delightful Fantasias, beautifully realised by pianist Benjamin Martin complete the program.
