Event Details

Hi all gospel singing lovers!

The Cafe of the Gate of Salvation will be sounding forth at the Petersham Bowling Club on Sunday August 17th for an afternoon/evening gig - 4pm to 6pm.

This will be our third visit to one of our favourite venues. Some of the feedback we got then:

"Glorious COTGOS, glorious...my heart is filled with sweet sweet music, my soul is uplifted...thanks to you for your sweet gift of song...hallelujah !"

"What a beautiful gig this was, I feel uplifted and blessed to have such things in my life :-)"

"What a wonderful way to spend an afternoon. My soul has been lifted !"

The choir loves Sunday arvo gigs and what better than at the PBC! This vibrant, dynamic and creative, poker-free community club is a  lovely space for the choir.

From singing for Mandela to backing Powderfinger at the Arias, the Cafe has sure found salvation. For over 26 years now, the Cafe has uplifted the souls of many people across the world. This choir inspired by the African American gospel tradition has voiced out the spirit of hope, joy and resistance through original compositions and traditional spirituals.

The beauty of our community choir is that their members come from all paths of life and from many beliefs, and together we are one boisterous voice.

Feel inspired, thrilled and uplifted. Allelluia!!
