Musical polymath and masterful pianist Joe Chindamo is joined by one of Australia’s elite violinists Zoë Black in a concert featuring his critically acclaimed New Goldberg Variations.
Joe’s re-versioning is a perfect marriage of old and new – Bach’s original Goldberg Variations, left unaltered and played verbatim by the keyboard, is superimposed by a newly – composed counterpart for the violin, thus creating the scene for an improvisational meeting between two players, across almost three centuries. It is a sublime re- imagining performed by two artists at the very top of their game.
