Event Details

Halcyon has captivated audiences since 1998 with stunning performances of Australian and international vocal chamber music. For one evening only, singers and directors Alison Morgan and Jenny Duck-Chong are joined by cellist Geoffrey Gartner, to share some of the more intimate gems of music they have discovered over years of making music together.

Employing just one or two instruments, this music has a simple yet profound beauty; the dancing and chanting of Ross Edwards's Maninya 1; the haunting lamentations of John Tavener's Akhmatova Songs and the sacred medieval melismas of Gavin Bryars's Laude.

Proudly presented by Trinity Grammar School's Society of the Arts in conjunction with the Blake Prize Touring Exhibition.
