WASO’s Principal Conductor Paul Daniel, 88 musicians and works from four diverse composers combine to create an exhilarating first concert in WASO’s inaugural new music festival, Latitude. Associate Principal Cello Louise McKay will take the spotlight in Turnage’s Kai; Two Memorials, a WASO commission by WA composer James Ledger, draws inspiration from composer Anton Webern and Beatle, John Lennon; and the night ends with two works from satirical rocker, guitar virtuoso and orchestral innovator, Frank Zappa. This concert of cutting edge music will make an unforgettable night out.
