Event Details
The Ady Ensemble is delighted to once again be a part of the 4MBS Festival of Classics. The theme of 2016’s festival is, The Great Russian Masters, & so we couldn’t possibly go past the chance to do Tchaikovsky’s wonderful, Serenade for Strings, excerpts from Mussorgsky’s, Pictures at an Exhibition, and we might even surprise you with the theme to a classic Russian computer game. We’re also proud to be premiering two works by local composers Corrina Bonshek & Rachel Merton– both very beautiful works which will astound.
Featured non-Australian music: Mussorgsky: Promenade and The Old Castle, from Pictures at an Exhibition (arr. Robert G. Patterson); Tchaikovsky: Serenade for Strings
