Jamie Oehlers is one of the country’s leading jazz musicians, having shared the stage with numerous inernational jazz greats including Charlie Haden, Eric Harland and Ari Hoenig.
Oehlers has been named named Australian Jazz Musician of the Year at the Bell Awards (2007) and won the World Saxophone Competition at the Montreux Jazz Festival (2003).
Coordinator of Jazz Studies at the prestigious Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA), Oehlers also maintains an active recording career, with his twelfth album The Burden of Memory, featuring Eric Harland, Reuben Rogers and Paul Grabowsky, released late last year.
