Musica Viva present Jerusalem Quartet & Zvi Plesser in an unmissibale performance. Saturday 7 November Musica Viva is delighted to present the final performance at the Newcastle Conservatorium in its 2009 National Concert Series by the Jerusalem Quartet, arguably one of the most dynamic and thrilling quartets of our time. On its fourth and final performance as Quartet in Residence and its sixth visit to Australia for Musica Viva, the Jerusalem Quartet will be joined by renowned cellist and compatriot, Zvi Plesser, for an exhilarating program at the Concert Hall, Newcastle Conservatorium on Saturday 7 November.
In this performance and for the first time in Australia, the Quartet appears with their esteemed colleague, the outstanding cellist Zvi Plesser to premier an exciting new string quintet by Carl Vine. This work has been commissioned for Musica Viva by Julian Burnside, QC, specifically for performance by the Jerusalem Quartet and Zvi Plesser.
