On the 1st of July, Judy Bailey will be bringing her band the Jazz Connection north of the bridge to honour the stage at Chatswood’s new and exciting music venue VJs. That’s right, Jazz is back on the North Shore! The Jazz Connection is a BIG BAND that is part of SYJE Inc, a non-profit organisation that provides high quality education and training in jazz for youth, under the musical direction of Judy Bailey. These talented young jazz musicians are hand-picked from throughout the Sydney region, most attending the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. The Jazz Connection will be playing a night of much loved Duke Ellington songs in a show they have entitled ‘JAZZ CONNECTION loves ELLINGTON’.
