Event Details

A concert in St Paul’s Cathedral to mark the centenary of the landing of ANZAC troops on the shores of Gallipoli, featuring Victoria’s moving Requiem Mass; a collection of stunning anthems by the Russian composer Pavel Chesnokov, composed in 1915; and the world premiere of a new work by leading young Australian composer Daniel Brinsmead for mixed choir and trumpet, setting texts by Will Streets, John Le Gay Brereton, Cicely Fox Smith, and Rudyard Kipling’s poem “Recessional”, traditionally recited on ANZAC Day and including the lines “Lest We Forget”.
