Lisa Moore “The Stone People” – a CD release concert
“New York’s queen of avant-garde piano” (The New Yorker) – aka Lisa Moore – releases her new solo Cantaloupe Music CD The Stone People. “This superb pianist” (The New York Times) will perform music from the her disc – tunes by John Luther Adams, Martin Bresnick, Missy Mazzoli, Kate Moore and Julia Wolfe. The Stone People is about who we are, where we are, how we relate to each other and to the natural world. TimeOut NY calls Lisa “the wonderfully lyrical pianist”. So come, listen and celebrate the birth of a new recording. It’s earthy, it’s elemental, it’s essential.
