The London Philharmonic Orchestra has long been recognised as one of the best ensembles in the world, an assertion borne out by continued acclaim from audiences and critics alike. It has been a long time since Melburnians have enjoyed a visiting orchestra of this standing. On Saturday 10 Oct the Orchestra performs Australian composer Graeme Koehne’s Powerhouse, Ravel’s Piano Concerto in G, featuring the world renowned pianist Jean-Yves Thibaudet, and Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No 4.
