'Grand master' of shakuhachi Riley Lee comes to Melbourne for a rare collaboration with the much loved Manins / Gould / Jones trio. Riley Lee brings to the ensemble a whole new dimension. Drawing on their collective and diverse knowledge of music from around the world, the four musicians will perform traditional and original compositions, using pre-composed pieces as vehicles for improvisation, as well as leaving room for spontaneous compositions. Weaving melodic lines, layered textures, at times meditative and haunting and at other times lively and energetic.
Presented in cabaret mode. Food and beverage packages available.
