Event Details
Listen up, music lovers! To celebrate the release of Andrew Ford's new book, The Memory of Music, we are filling the shop with sweet sounds on Wednesday July 26th at 6.30 pm!
Join us as UQ's Liam Viney chats to composer and broadcaster Andrew about his moving and evocative memoir, and enjoy a beautiful musical performance by flute player Janet McKay.
The Memory of Music is a moving and evocative memoir that will appeal to music lovers everywhere. Ford excels at capturing the way different kinds of music affect us – how a piece of religious music can transport us regardless of our beliefs, or how a pop song can call up an instant recollection from the past.
Come along and let music take you on a trip down memory lane!
**Please note: Riverbend does not issue paper tickets for events. Your name will be on a list at the door.
Organised in conjunction with the music department of University of Queensland.
