Cycle of concerts "Minsk Spring–2014"

Ana Gaceva, piano (Macedonia) performs works by: J.Andreevska, M.A.Trandafilovski, M.Bakrnčev, R.Schumann, F.Poulenc, A.Ginastera

Extraordinary character of the artist, bright musical charisma, excellent professional skills and virtuosity have brought to this pianist from Macedonia wonderful career. Ana Gaceva has started its musical education at Saints Cyril and Methodius University (Skopje). In 1999-2002 she studied in Paris at Ecole Normale Superieure de Musique Alfred Cortot where she received a diploma with honors of a concert giving pianist and a possibility to give concerts abroad. Since 2004 Ana Gaceva is a professor of the department of music at Tetovo University and since 2010 at the department of music n.a. St. Cyril and Methodius in Paris. In 2005 she got a scholarship of the European Union Tempus Mobility and was invited to teach at Trinity College of Music (London, Great Britain). In 2008 she published her first book named "Piano Techniques in Concerts from world renowned Composers-Pianists". Ana is definitely considered one of the best pianists of Macedonia. She performed with such orchestras as the Macedonian Philharmonic Orchestra, Russian Orchestra "Musica Viva", and Contemporary music orchestra of "Saint Sophia". Besides she took part at famous festivals in Macedonia, Slovenia, France, Croatia and other countries. She performed as a soloist and a chamber musician at the leading stages of New York, Paris, Vienna, Kiev, Dresden, Salzburg, Zagreb, Ljubljana, Sofia, Belgrade and others. She also recorded music for Macedonian national radio and television Skopje, Croatian national television and Television of Slovenia. Since 2000 she is a member of the Association of Music Artists of Macedonia. On the 11th of April the public will have a unique opportunity to get to know the works of modern Macedonian composers, and to hear piano works by Schumann, Poulenc, Ginastera and others.
