Event Details

What is the purpose of improvisation? Traditionally improvisors were supposed to serve the song and the music, but is free improv too often a free-for-all with the loudest voice “winning”? What principles should a good improvisor be guided by, and what bad habits should they avoid? Got some stories to share? Our panel of sage improvisors will perform Clinton Green’s game piece “Good Improv/Bad Improv” before dissecting the nitty gritty of how to make it up.

More Talk Less Action is a series of panel discussion-based events. Each night revolves around a theme and features two short performances. People interested in music are invited to take part.

Performers: Lloyd Honeybrook, Alice Hui-Sheng Chang, Adam Simmons
