Event Details
A concert by young composers of the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, featuring a wide range of styles: opera, chamber ensembles (including brass, wind, and strings), song cycle, and choral works. Presented by the Australian Youth Opera, ‘New Works by Young Composers,’ is a unique opportunity to hear the latest music from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music’s up and coming young composers, with an emphasis on celebrating contrasting musical styles.
There are over 15 different ensembles, instrumental combinations, and new works, with many of the works composed by the honours composition students. This is a chance to hear the freshest music that is being created at one of Australia’s best conservatoriums, performed by many of the Sydney Conservatorium of Music student and graduate singers and instrumentalists.
This event is proudly sponsored by the Foundation for Young Australians.
