Celebrate at Melbourne's most exquisite and blissful New Year event. Start 2012 feeling energised and inspired by modern chant, intuitive music, and a midnight meditation. It's is a beautiful way of connecting heart to heart with like-minded friends. Now in its ninth year this event embodies a newly emerging consciousness. The evening is presented by Jarek Czechowicz, a maestro of words and music for awakening. Recently described by The Boite as one of Australia's finest improvising musicians, Jarek will guide you on a truly divine journey from earthy contemporary chant and sublime improvisation to the celestial silence of a midnight meditation.

Here are three of Jarek's uplifting mantras, one for invoking love and compassion, one for the child in all of us, and one for dealing with challenging times. Love! Love! Love I call you name, and in your joy I will remain, I call your name. I am earth, I am air, I am water, I am fire, I am everything, and all is good, so I sing. Peaceful day, peaceful way, peaceful heart, come what may.

There will be plenty of time for socialising indoors or outdoors. Bring some supper snacks and non-alcoholic drinks. Delicious vegetarian soup and chai will be available. This event is suitable and free for quiet children. Seating is on chairs or cushions. Allow time for parking in surrounding streets.
