'"Tsiavos illustrates the instrument's brooding strength and breadth of communicative impact, as well as exploring its unexpectedly wide range and remarkable powers of resonance."
Clive O'Connell, The Saturday Age

"Their surprising, beautiful, somewhat mysterious music is often, simultaneously, ancient, modern, intricately constructed & improvisatory. ... ."
Doug Spencer, 'The Weekend Planet', ABC Radio National

The passionate, sublime beauty of Ancient Chant colliding with the energy and instability of Minimalist grooves. The ancient becomes modern, as the languages of Modernism, from free jazz to punk minimalism mix freely with the rapture and danger of Sacred Text. Liminal is the point of distillation for Nick Tsiavos in his 20 year old exploration of these ideas.

Tsiavos brings together a group of brilliantly creative and intuitively aware musicians that have worked throughout the world across a multitude of genres. The brilliant discordance of New Complexity, the anarchic tumult of Free Jazz and the cascading melisma of Byzantine Chant all meld together into a hypnotic synthesis of a new Minimalism.
