Event Details

Taking their cues just as much from jazz luminaries Miles Davis, Bill Evans and Wayne Shorter as French Impressionist composers Eric Satie and Debussy (with a bit of Brian Eno on the side), this trio captures the broad brushstroke of a film score together with lashings of playfulness, humour, art and improvisation. OK OK OK was formed in 2007 by a trio of like-minded musicians who, when faced with the problem of replacing their drummer who left for a tour of Turkey, restructured and created a new sound. Featuring Sophia Exiner on piano, Joshua Teicher on guitar and Josh Holt on acoustic bass, this year they have recorded their debut album, working with producer/engineer Joe Talia (solo work/Andrea Keller) due to be released in 2010. This will be their last gig for a few months, as Exiner is soon to be studying with contemporary classical pianists Amy Williams and Amy Briggs in America for the remainder of the year.
