Paul Grabowsky, internationally acclaimed composer and pianist with an extraordinary list of achievements and awards in his wake, often seeks the missing tonic that lurks behind the corners of leading notes. His vast experience and dense forrest of influences make him an enchantingly creative performer and wise improviser. His body of work spans composing for films and plays to artistically directing large state festivals, running the Australians Art Orchestra to making headline speeches at conferences. In this rare series of gigs Grabowsky takes with him the combat heroes of jazz, the spirits that have informed this most intense, twisted and rich of musical genres, as he embarks on an odyssey fraught with musical muses and notation sirens.
He'll be joined by Julien Wilson (tenor sax), Frank DiSario (double bass), and Niko Schauble (drums).
