Event Details
This is a concert of beginnings and endings, of first and last utterances, of rebirth and renewal. Yorta Yorta / Dja Dja Wurrung woman Lou Bennett, much loved member of Tiddas, writes a story of ancient cultural practices that will leave you deeply moved and looking upon our world anew.
And what better way to answer her ‘Quartet and Country’ offering than with that most titanic of works, Schubert’s Cello Quintet . The ASQ are joined by Juilliard alumnus Meta Weiss for this masterwork from the end of Schubert’s life – thus easing us towards the end of the Festival.
