Event Details
Prospectors Day is a sneak preview ‘mini-fest’ of the Bendigo International Festival of Exploratory Music, one year ahead of the proposed inaugural festival in September 2013. Prospectors Day is primarily aimed at developing a Bendigo Patrons circle, as well as providing adventurous audiences a pre-taste of an event that will aim to be a global platform for excellent and innovative concert music. Prospectors Day features three intimate concerts from Windspiel: Verena Wüsthoff/Recorder, Eva Zöllner/Accordion (Germany), Mauricio Carrasco/Guitar (Chile/Bendigo) and Tristram Williams/Trumpet (Melbourne) and Ben Marks/Trombone (Brisbane). Artistic Director David Chisholm will deliver his proposed vision for the BIFEM2013. Bendigo Bank Chair Robert Johanson will speak about how this event will further position Bendigo as the cultural heart of Central Victoria. Prospectors can meet the musicians and speakers at a special light lunch event with food by El Gordo.
Featured non-Australian music: Cordero, D’Adamo, Henze, Barrett, Globokar, Evan Johnson, Scelciand, Derbez, Fuentes, Gysin, Hajdu, Harada, Vosecek
