Schumann Piano Concerto
Brahms Symphony No.1
As part of QSO’s 70th anniversary celebration, we have enticed our former Chief Conductor and Artistic Advisor, Muhai Tang, back from Europe and Asia to honour our Concert Hall stage for one special night.
Tang directs an exhilarating program featuring Australian composer Joe Chindamo’s beguiling set of variations — Palimpsest; the virtuosic showpiece that is Schumann’s quintessential Romantic concerto, performed by highly regarded Schumann expert from France, pianist Éric Le Sage; concluding with Brahms’ first symphonic masterpiece.
Inon Barnatan is no longer performing in this concert
Featured non-Australian music: Schumann, Brahms
