Event Details
Composer and music theoretician Rudolph Escher was a key figure in Dutch 20th century music, writing in a range of styles from French-influenced sustained melodic lines to serialism and electronic music. This concert is a collaboration with Art and Heritage Collections, University of Adelaide, with a concert presentation by Professor Chris Mortensen, scholar of inconsistent images. Featuring world premieres by Charles Bodman Rae and Finnish-Australian composer and violinist Erkki Veltheim, who joins the Collective for the world premiere of his String Quartet, commissioned by Soundstream.
