Event Details
As unforgettable as hearing your first symphony orchestra in a concert hall, hearing exhilarating jazz and improvised music in an intimate live club environment is an essential experience for music students.
Aiming to uncover and identify some of the most common and useful rhythms found in modern genres including R&B, hip hop, jazz, rock and dance music, this engaging and interactive concert and workshop will enable participants to gain a deeper understanding of rhythmic counterpoint and improve their relationship to the pulse through practical exercises and contemporary examples. Samples, loops and MIDI production centre feature alongside an acoustic drum kit.
