One of the most consistently beautiful albums that I've heard all year" - jazzmann.com Brisbane pianist Sean Foran, most known for his work with the acclaimed trio TRICHOTOMY presents his new album, "Frame of Reference" (on Jazzhead), created for a vibrant new band. Recorded in the UK early last year with a group of British musicians, Sean now launches the album here, fresh from a UK tour. Similar to his work with Trichotomy the music is deeply melodic and textural, although with this new extended lineup, it delves deeper into sounds of classical minimalist composers such as Phillip Glass, and Scandinavian jazz.
