Considered one of the most brilliant cellists of his generation and a prodigious chamber musician, soloist and mentor, Torleif is a regular collaborator with some of the world’s great artists and conductors including Esa-Pekka Salonen and Neeme Järvi. He is also in huge demand as a soloist and chamber musician, working with many of the great performers of our age and constantly invited to perform at festivals around the globe. He has made numerous CD recordings for BIS, CPO, Decca, EMI and Deutsche Grammophon. Torleif is Professor of Cello in both Copenhagen and Stockholm. Old friends who are excited to have their first opportunity to work together in over twenty years, he is joined by brilliant pianist and artistic director, Kathryn Selby.
